Here’s another update from Feeding Villages! We’ve been working hard in Nangunga, Uganda and wanted to share with you what we’ve accomplished in April!
- On April 28th, we distributed 100 kgs of rice, 50 kgs of beans, 50 kgs of peanuts, 150 eggs, and 6 tins of powered milk to families living in Nangunga, Uganda as part of our Food Assistance Initiative!
- We were able to raise over $500 for our Clean Water Initiative in Nangunga! Thanks to all the donors who generously contributed to this project. Feeding Villages contributed the rest of the funds needed to launch this project. The contractor we’ve hired for this project has just this past week began prepping the site for the rehab! Stay tuned for updates on this project over in the next couple of weeks!
- Our team in Uganda met with primary school administrators to discuss details around a school lunch program where each of the 300 children at the primary school would be guaranteed a belly-filling meal. For a meal of fortified rice, it would cost $2500 to feed all 300 students for 3 months. That’s under $10 per student for 3 months of rice lunches! We are looking into additional funding opportunities to include beans, dairy, and fruit to make lunches more balanced. If you would like to donate to this cause, please do so here.
